Suggested DonationsDedicate a space on our terrace garden mural in honor of a loved one!
The Friends of St. Charles Public Library have commissioned the installation of a mural on the outdoor walls of the Youth Service department’s terrace garden. For a donation, your loved one can become part of this vibrant artwork that will serve as a place of recognition, remembrance, and reflection for our community for years to come.
Download the brochure to learn more and to complete a donation form. Completed donation forms must be dropped off in person to the Library’s Administration Office during regular business hours Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Fostering community and supporting programs and services since 1978
The Friends are a group of volunteers that support and help fund library programs, services, and amenities that fall outside the library’s budget.
We raise funds through various activities during the year, such as:
- Fall and Spring Used Book Sales
- Online sale of vintage books
- Lobby area used book sales
- Holiday gift wrapped books and cocoa mug sales
- Library merchandise sales
- Magazine and Children’s Used Book Sales
Meetings are held three times a year – October, February and June.
The next meeting is Monday, June 2, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. A potluck supper will be served at 6:00 p.m.
Members pay no yearly dues, but membership requirements include:
- Attending at least one meeting a year
- Participating in one activity (i.e. book sale)
- Serving on a committee if asked
Benefits of membership are numerous:
- Make new friends
- Have fun participating in fund-raising projects
- Receive our eNewsletter
- Help the environment by recycling books through the book sales
If you have a love of books and a desire to help support your Library, you are just what the Friends are looking for. Pick up an application at the Welcome Desk or download the online form below.
